The Partition Horrors Remembrance Day" 14th August

          Hon'ble Prime Minister in his speech on 15th August 2021 at Red Fort, had declared 14t’ August to be observed as “Partition Horrors Remembrance Day". Ministry of Education had accordingly organized series of events on or around 14" August, 2022. This year too a series of activities are planned to observe the Partition Horrors Remembrance Day.

          The Partition Horrors Remembrance Day has been envisaged to bring to light the agony, sufferings and pain of millions of people who were sufferers of partition. It is to remind the country about the largest displacement of human population in the last century, which also claimed the lives of a large number of people. To showcase the sufferings of the partition affected people, an exhibition has been curated jointly by Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR) and Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA).
